Nothing like a dip in my backyard pool!

Swimming Spots?

The Colorado River near Glenwood Springs (west of Denver) sure looked inviting, but I wasn't allowed to take a dip.

I found a nice pond on the way home to Florida, but the warning sign prevented me from testing the water here, too.

Oh well, maybe at home, I'll go swimming...

Thumbs Up for the Arches National Park in Utah!

The Arches National Park in Utah was hot (103 degrees), but we took a nice driving tour and only got out of our air conditioned minivan to take photos. Very interesting smells were there...

The statue of the mountain goat greets visitors! We liked the "thumbs up" the best!

Colorado next stop!

California Photos

Had such fun exploring California! At my event in Granite Bay, at the Douglas Ranch/Pet Supply, I posed for kids while they colored pictures of me. I also performed my trick of guessing which hand hid the treat! My new vest was a big hit, too! The Lab pup was also at that store - what a cutie!

After a lovely dinner with friends nearby, where I sat in the cat's water dish (to cool off - ha ha!), we relaxed at our favorite motel chain - La Quinta! Very pet friendly.

The next day we headed north and visited the Redwoods - I LOVED that place! Played Rolly Polly and stretched out on my belly. Lots of pictures taken for my next book "Discovering America" and some on my Facebook page - http://www.facebook.com/pages/Woogies-Travels-Promoting-Literacy/196969857000156.

Southwest Desert Region

HOT, HOT, HOT! It was in the 100 degree temps while traveling through the southwest, with the highest at 110!

The Hoover Dam looked like a nice place to take a swim, but of course I couldn't...

Very dry, too, and at one rest stop, I couldn't wander too far - the signs warned of danger! Good thing the bats are around for pest control :)

Next - California!

Fun in Houston!

The Texas Welcome Center was impressive! That's my Pop walking me, and I enjoyed the La Quinta motel in Houston where I posed with my Mom.

And the Lone Star State is really friendly. Romeo is the mascot at Charlotte's Saddlery in western Houston and he greets everyone who comes through the door! They have a great selection for the horse owner/lover, and now they carry Mom's Beloved Horses series!
