Happy New Year 2013!

Happy New Year to all my reading buddies! My next trip will be to California at the end of this month. Stay tuned for some awesome nature scenes. I'm looking forward to a fun time!

Christmastime in the Campground!

Woogie loves Christmas! The Happy Traveler's RV Park decorated the office and the RV's have lights and animations too! It's prettier at night, but even during the day it's very festive. There will be a parade of golf carts decorated - some to the nines! We're ready to join Santa and the parade on Dec. 15th! Well, maybe we'll add a few more bling for that day...

Woogie's Woes

Woogie is not a happy camper...he had a lump removed from his hind end last week and has to wear the big, purple collar to keep him from chewing out the stitches - he already got two out!

Wow! It's November already! The Holidays will soon be here.

My first book, Looking for a Friend, (the green cover) describes my journey to find friends as I traveled. There are lots of action photos of me in woods, at campgrounds, stables and even in a pond!

The second book, Discovering America, (red/white/blue) shares my adventures as we traveled cross-country during a very hot August month and I wanted to swim! This one has beautiful color photos and shows me with my summer haircut.

Pet Spa Day at Fatso's Billiards in Tampa benefited Animal Coalition of Tampa that offers low cost heath services for pet owners. LaLa is a Pomeranian that stopped by - what a cutie!

One Sunday in our RV Park

Fun in South Carolina!

I had a fun visit with family in South Carolina at the end of August! Son, Rick, and his wife, Pat, invited us to spend a few days for my Mom & Pop to celebrated their 37th Wedding Anniversary.

Eden is a cute toddler who was visiting (Rick & Pat are her grandparents) at the same time we were there. And their dog, Bert, pretended he was a tough little dog, and I let him play the part! But really, I ran circles around him!

I love their big backyard - I can be off the leash!

Woogie Loves to Play!

Woogie loves to be off the leash so he can bedazzle us with his speed as he zig-zags around our golf cart while driving around the large grassy lot next door. He loves to race us!

He prefers to play alone, or with his imaginary friend. He has a few dogs he'll play with, but he's scared to play at a dog park. Too many strange big dogs!

The only time he wants a toy or a bone is if he can steal one from a neighbor's dog!

He loves to swim in a puddle, a small tub, a large pool or the ocean. But he hates bath time!

My BEST Vacation Day was in New Jersey!

I had a great time on my two week vacation traveling in June from Florida to Pennsylvania & New Jersey. But the very best day was in central NJ where I was invited INSIDE Toll Booth Saddle Shop on Rt 206 in Eastampton, NJ. They stock all my mom's books, including mine! If you visit the shop, just ask for Sharon Miner's books. They have lots and lots of horse and dog products, and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

I also had such fun off the leash while visiting Apple Brook Farm in Cookstown where I swam, dried off by rolling in the grass and sharing carrots with my buddy, Sonny. Thanks Beth (the owner) for such a fun visit - great to see you and Tinkerbelle again (she's the dachshund in my first book). She's such a cutie!

Loving Lancaster! Old and New...

So this is Lancaster, Pennsylvania! I smell good food, fragrant flowers and horses - the Amish horse and buggies share the roads with the cars.

There are several buffets called smorgasbords here and I was able to sample some treats from Millers and Shady Maple - YUM!

We stayed at our favorite motel chain - La Quinta - because they are so pet-friendly (no charges!) and this one is the best so far!

I had my yearly check up and all is well! I don't care for the shots and stuff but know they are important for my health.

Don't forget to have your pet see the vet for their annual visit!

Now, THAT'S an Easter Tree!

In our campground, a neighbor, Jean, keeps her Christmas Tree up until after Easter - it's decorated every holiday: New Year's Day, Gasparilla (Tampa holiday), NASCAR'S Daytona 500, Valentine's Day, St. Pat's & now Easter!

Florida Birds

We saw some interesting birds lately. The lone bird was above me on a wire. There were three, actually, but two flew away by the time I took a picture. Is it a parrot, or canary? Their singing is what caught my attention.

The pelicans were relaxing on the St. Petersburg Pier. We went on a weekday, so no kids around to buy the food to give them! No wonder they hang out there : )
