Amicalola Falls State Park, GA
I'm so excited!
Plans are being made for our September road trip to the lovely states of Georgia, Tennessee and Mississippi. Our first stop will be the Decatur Book Festival in Georgia on Sunday, Sept. 1st. It's the eighth annual AJC Decatur Book Festival with over three hundred best-selling authors and a vibrant street fair.
The next day, we'll stop at the Amicalola Falls State Park in Georgia. "At 729 feet, Amicalola Falls is the tallest cascading waterfall in the Southeast," says the website. Wow! And I'll be allowed to walk the trails, too, on a leash of course.
Then, we'll travel to visit national and state parks in Tennessee and Mississippi on our way to Memphis, where we'll visit the patients at St. Jude's Childrens Hospital. Then a visit to Nashville!
